The painting grew out of a simple moment — looking out across the land as the sky began to shift and a band of warm yellow light appeared along the horizon. Above it, the clouds gather and move, opening into deep blue spaces that give the painting its sense of air and distance.

It is a painting about atmosphere and breathing space. Rather than describing a specific place exactly, the work captures the feeling of standing at the edge of the forest where land and sky meet — the contrast between the quiet greens below and the movement of the clouds above giving the piece both calm and energy.
