This small original oil painting captures a fleeting moment at Lechlade as the sun falls towards the horizon, filling the sky with warm gold and orange while dramatic clouds gather above.

I was drawn to the contrast between the cool, atmospheric tones of the sky and the extraordinary warmth of the fading light reflected across the water. Rather than simply recording the landscape, I wanted to capture that fleeting feeling of being there — when a familiar place suddenly becomes luminous and, for a few moments, feels almost otherworldly.
