Cette œuvre a débuté comme une petite nature morte intime et est devenue l'une de mes peintures ayant suscité le plus de réactions positives.

Nature morte à la grenouille associe une grenouille en laiton à la douce lueur à un oignon d'automne aux tons chauds, sur un fond profond et apaisant. Le sujet dégage un humour subtil, contrebalancé par une observation attentive, une lumière maîtrisée et une approche picturale sereine. Il en résulte une œuvre qui invite à un second regard : discrètement ludique sans rien perdre de sa gravité ni de sa profondeur.

Le tableau original mesure 31 × 26,5 cm, et les dimensions des impressions ont été choisies pour préserver le caractère et les proportions de l'œuvre sans imposer d'échelle.

Chaque tirage est réalisé en impression giclée de qualité muséale sur papier Hahnemühle German Etching, choisi pour sa texture riche et son fini mat doux. Ce papier restitue les subtiles variations de tons, le travail du pinceau et la chaleur des couleurs, conférant au tirage l'aspect d'une œuvre originale plutôt que d'une reproduction.
