At the End of the Park, At the End of the Day

There are moments at the end of the day when the world seems to slow down.

This small original oil painting captures one of those quiet moments — the warm evening light falling across a peaceful landscape, illuminating the trees and grasses with soft golden colour.

I was drawn to the way the fading light catches the tops of the trees and picks out the textures of the meadow, while the deeper greens and shadows begin to settle into the foreground.

There is nothing dramatic happening here. And perhaps that is what I love about it.

It is simply a moment to pause, breathe and notice the beauty of an ordinary evening.
